Here’s how you get started with Captura:
Step 1: Complete the Onboarding Form
Fill out a short form with your business info, goals, and phone number preference (whether you want to port your existing number or use a new number through Captura).
Step 2: Phone Number Setup & Verification Form
Once we review your onboarding form, you’ll receive a Phone Number Form to provide details needed for:
-A2P 10DLC verification (RECOMMENDED - required for all U.S. SMS numbers)
-Number porting (if you want your existing number inside the system, takes up to 30 days, mobile numbers only)
This information typically includes:
Legal business name
EIN or Tax ID
Business address
Industry category
Description of SMS usage
Step 3: Pay the $79 Setup Fee
After submitting the Phone Number Form, you’ll pay a one-time, non-refundable $79 setup fee. This covers:
✅ Account creation
✅ Phone number setup or porting
✅ A2P 10DLC registration & verification
Step 4: Strategy Call
We’ll schedule a session to review your campaign goals, message tone, current offers, and finalize your plan before launch.
Step 5: Activate Your Monthly Plan & Campaign Launch
Once your number is verified and your strategy call is complete, you pay your monthly subscription. Then your campaigns are set up and scheduled, and your missed call text back automation is live.
⏱ Most clients are fully set up within 7–14 business days after submitting the Phone Number Form. Your first paid month begins once setup is complete.
You have two options:
Option A: Use a number purchased through us – Quickest setup, included in your plan.
Option B: Use your existing business number – We can port or connect it to our system.
Important Details:
Whether you use a new number through us or port your own, the setup and carrier verification process usually takes about 7 days. We just need your business info (name, EIN, address).
Your $79 setup fee covers account creation, number setup or porting, and A2P verification.
Once setup is complete, you can:
-Send and receive SMS messages immediately.
-Use the LeadConnector app to view and reply to messages.
-Assign multiple users if needed.
Once your setup form is submitted, we create your private sub-account inside our platform:
Phone Number Set Up Assigned – Either your new Captura number or your existing number (porting/forwarding).
Dashboard Setup – You’ll have a sub-account to view messages, leads, and campaign performance.
Login Access – You’ll receive an email to create a password and log in via the free LeadConnector app (iPhone, Android, or desktop).
Go Live – Your system is ready to start sending and receiving messages. Missed calls automatically trigger text replies.
You don’t manage campaigns manually — we set it up for you. You only respond to incoming messages as needed.
Voicemail is great — but most customers won’t leave one.
When people call your business and get voicemail, they usually hang up and call your competitor. A Missed Call Text Back sends an instant text reply instead, letting them know you saw their call and you’ll follow up shortly.

No, it's not recommended. SMS campaigns work best on a separate number to avoid overloading your main line and to maintain deliverability.
No — only mobile numbers can be fully ported. Landlines can be forwarded to a system number for MCTB.
All inbound and outbound SMS messages are included in your monthly plan (less than 1¢ per message).
-Up to approx. 4000 outbound and inbound texts per month should be sufficient for small businesses
Results vary. It typically takes 2–3 months to build a strong subscriber base and start seeing measurable increases in sales or repeat customers. If you already have customer contact information (emails, phone numbers, etc.) in a .csv file, you can send it to us, and we’ll upload it to your account so you can begin SMS outreach right away. If you don’t yet have a customer list, you’ll need to run an opt-in campaign using in-store or online QR codes linked to a landing page we create. This page will incentivize your customers to opt in to SMS marketing from your company for future offers and deals.
Up to 4 texts per month per audience segment is recommended. Too many texts may cause your customers to unsubscribe.
Each month, you’ll fill out a Promotion Update Form or update your dedicated client portal. Once submitted, we’re notified immediately and schedule your campaigns based on your new offers.
Yes! You can create branded one-step (“Thanks for calling…”) or two-step replies (“Reply YES to schedule”).
Similarly, SMS promotions can include offers, events, or announcements.
-We schedule agreed-upon promotions each month
-You send new promotions or edits at the start of each billing cycle (sending us a Promotion Update Form every month for any new promotions)
-You receive monthly analytics reports
-Monthly subscription processed via Stripe
-Auto-renews every 30 days unless canceled with 14 days’ written notice

Since most businesses already have a main phone number customers call. You have two setup options:
Option 1 — Forward Your Existing Number (Recommended)
We assign you a new system number.
You forward your current number to this one only when calls are missed.
Any missed call instantly triggers the text-back message.

Option 2 — Port Your Existing Number (Mobile Only)
If you want your current number to live inside our system, we can port it.
Porting is available for mobile numbers only (not landlines).

We only send you the Port Request Form if you choose to port.

For SMS promotional campaigns, you should use a dedicated SMS number separate from your main call-handling number. That means getting a new number though us.
